  1. Just Soaps

    Posted on

What a shame it is that our lovely soap supplier Stephanie, creator of Grass Routes Soaps has hung up her soap making kit for a while (dreaded Brexit price increases). But good news is that we have found the equally wonderful Just Soaps. Their values look like our values: "We use only 100% natural ingredients. None of our products or ingredients are tested on animals and they are free from additives which have been reported to be harmful to our bodies or the environment, such as Parabens, SLS, Propylene Glycol or petrochemicals to name just a few. In fact we do not add anything except pure essential oils and use only natural colourants. Where available we use local ingredients including, Spring Water, Beeswax, Goat's Milk, Honey, Oats, Lavender and Herbs".

And they have a big range too... we chose a few that are well suited to babies and mummies: Roman Spa (Rebecca was a classicist long ago), Lavender Blue (we love lavender), Tea Tree & Hemp Oil, Lemongrass & Lime and 2 unscented for extra sensitive skin, baby or mother. Have a look here and at their website too. We bought up all Stephanie's remaining stock but it is the end now so all our gift boxes will have the Just Soap selection instead.

THE REALLY ECO BABY PLEDGE 2014

    • We offer a high quality service to our customer: this means good manners, answering all queries, dispatching your order as quickly as possible. Simply doing our very best to leave you with a smile on your face.
    • All our products are described truthfully.
    • We make sure that all our products are either fairly traded, organic, recycled or ethically made. If they are none of those, you won't find them on Really Eco Baby.
    • We use local printers and local stationery shops.
    • We always favour UK based companies.
    • We always work with companies who care about their products and the way they are made: both on an environmental and human level.
    • We reduce and re-use: we send our parcels in recycled boxes, re-use every scrap of paper, use recycled stationery...
    • We deliver our local parcels by bike (even in the rain and snow if we can bear it).

Feel free to let us know if we break our pledge: we are not superhuman but the above is not rocket science. We feel we have a responsiblity towards both our customers and our suppliers.
