raw choc    A treat for all mothers!     hearts 2

We don't want to sound too feminist but Really Eco Baby and NapNap are very much the two babies of two mummies (among lots of other real babies). We fit work around more work and family life. That's why we are quite keen on celebrating Mother's Day on March 18th - because we know mums work extremely hard and need a treat once in a while!

If you are looking for a present to give to your cherished mother, you will be spoilt for choice - we know there are lots of lovely, yummy luxurious gifts out there. But here at Really Eco Baby you can give that bit of luxury but also make a conscious choice to give a present that will be natural, organic, ethical and useful.

Our very special Mother's Day hamper contains products we would love to receive ourselves. It is all about looking after your body with organic and moisturising creams and soaps without forgetting your mind: I am talking about our delicious raw chocolate bars! They are so good for you that we do not feel guilty about including 3 bars for you to taste and share.

But you can also have a clean conscience: the Akamuti Coconut Oil is fairly traded with Indonesian island Communities while the Grass Routes lip balm and soap are handmade in Hertfordshire with natural ingredients and no palm oil.

If this present is intended for a new mother, treat her also to a NapNap Voucher

So enjoy, share and love Mother's Day this year!

                            Valentine's Day!

Hearts Baba and Boo Cloth Nappy

February 14th is approaching fast and Really Eco Baby would not miss the chance to celebrate love!......

But what to give your loved one? Something useful? Something that won't end up cluttering the drawer for a year? Be original and give your fluff-a-holic a chance to splash out on some lovely cloth.

All year round we hear mums (and some dads) saying they would love to get that new fancy nappy for their little one: the one that matches an outfit, the custom-made embroidered one, the seasonal one (like the lovely Baba and Boo red hearts nappy featured above.). With a NapNap Voucher, your nappy addict in residence can choose the cloth nappy they want from 18 retailers.

So if you know your other-half is a nappy-addict, enjoy our special Valentine's offer: with every NapNap Voucher worth £15 or more, we will send you a delicious bar of "Rawr" raw chocolate absolutely free. And the gift will include a handwritten gift note too.

Rawr chocolate is the guilt-free raw chocolate bar and comes in four mouth-watering flavours: Dark, Orange, Goji berry & vanilla, Mint.

So order a NapNap Voucher worth at least £15 before February 14th 2012 and we will add a free 60g Rawr chocolate bar ( tell us your favourite flavour in the check-out notes).

  4. For those of you who have ended up browsing our website, it might be because you are looking for an eco-friendly baby gift or mum gift. You might have seen our useful NapNap Voucher but are wondering if it will really be a present that your friend or relative will use: "Can I really give a nappy voucher as a present?" Well, the answer is absolutely (did you really expect us to say no?) and here is why:

    - people choose cloth nappies because of the environmental impact disposable nappies have: they take a lot of energy to make, then sit in landfill for hundreds of years. The great thing about cloth nappies is that your friend also gets to make further decisions about the environmental impact of their nappies: they might choose some made out of organic cotton, only line-dry them: it will be their choice according to their lifestyle. And let us reassure you, parents using washables are no martyrs and they do not spend their days with the washing machine on.

    - even if your friend is not an eco warrior, they might just be curious and buy a few nappies with your voucher. It might just be enough to use them one day a week. And that's alright! Using 5 cloth nappies will save 650 disposable nappies going to landfill over a 2 1/2-year-period. And your friend will save around £220. I am sure they will thank you for it.... Then, if they like washable nappies, they might ask for more NapNap Vouchers or use Council incentive schemes and save even more money.

    - think about your friend's baby's bottom: do you really want him/her to sit in dioxin, sodium polyacrylate gel and tributylin all day long?

    - most new parents think they would like to give cloth nappies a try but they do not know where to start so help them out!

For all these reasons, giving your friend a NapNap Voucher will really make their day when they open your present. Add an organic fair trade sleepsuitbattery-free toy or fair trade soft toy and you will get a smile now as well as a hug when they have chosen their new nappies.

And don't forget to take advantage of our sale until 31st January!
